Similar to other legendary rock and roll neighborhoods of the same era, such as Haight Ashbury, Laurel Canyon was a community of artists including James Taylor, Carol King, The Eagles, The Mamas and The Papas, The Byrds, The Doors, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and more.
