The Palast Orchester was founded in 1986 by vocalist Max Raabe and a group of fellow music students in order to play music from the period of Germany´s Golden Twenties. Raabe and his group´s commitment to the elegant cabaret songs of the 1920-30s has received various accolades, including the Order of Merit of the State of Berlin in 2012. The orchestra tours regularly in the United States and around the world including China, Japan, Italy, Russia, France, England and Israel.
