While perhaps best known as a country music singer, over the years Rodney Crowell has written songs for fellow legends Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and George Strait, as well as current stars including Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. He’s a two-time Grammy Award winner: 1990’s Best Country Song for “After All This Time” and 2014’s Americana Album for Old Yellow Moon, a collaboration with Emmylou Harris. Crowell’s authentic and relevant songs have landed in the Top 10 in every decade since the 1970s.
